The Guidance Program has been developed to assist students in the areas of career planning and exploration, knowledge of self and others, and educational and vocational development. The program includes four components: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support.
The Guidance Program is developmental and comprehensive and consists of structured experiences implemented through classroom and/or small group activities. The developmental curriculum promotes positive mental health and acquiring and using life skills at all levels of normal growth and development of students.
The Guidance Program features a team approach through certified counselors who provide direct service to students, but also work collaboratively and in consultation with other members of the school staff, parents/guardians, and members of the community. |
