Students participate in the Read, Right and Run program sponsored by the St. Louis Marathon Association. Students must read 26 books, do 26 rights, and run 26 miles. Some of the activities are completed at school, some at home, and the last 1.2 miles is run in April during the St. Louis Marathon. Students completing the program are awarded a gold medal after the run at Forest Park. Read, Right and Run includes all interested students in grades K-5. Mark Twain's involvement is sponsored by Character Council, Coach Wildgrube, and Mr. Lee.
